James Raymond Ferry. 74, of Festus died July 29, 2018, in Festus. Mr. Ferry held several jobs, including a taxi driver for County Cab, a self-contracted driver for Nettie’s Flower Garden and a cashier with Express Mart. He was a member of Gateway River Church in Arnold and loved to fish, cook and help other people. He also was very mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. Born January 21, 1944, in Peoria, Ill., he was the son of the late Raymond Ferry and Dorothy (Lanthrop) Ferry.

He is survived by his wife: Debra Ann Ferry of Herculaneum; two sons: James Dabin of Ashburn, Va., and Mark Thomas Ferry of Crystal City; a daughter: Margory Dianne Tidwell of Affton; two sisters: Sharon and Diane; and two grandchildren: Gage and Corben Dabin.

Mr. Ferry chose cremation. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Gateway River Church, 2160 Tenbrook Road, Arnold. A potluck dinner will follow; please bring a dish to share. Memorials may be made to the Jim Ferry GoFundMe page. Arrangements were under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
