James Richard Bailey, age 77, of Creve Coeur, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on December 28, 1947, in St. Louis to Harold and Virginia Bailey, Jim lived a life defined by love, hard work, and deep devotion to his family. He was a man of quiet strength, quick humor, and a generous heart—always ready with a helping hand or a story that brought a smile to those around him.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Bailey, and his cherished children: Michelle (Michael) Ernst, Bryan (Becky) Cox, and Sonja (Eric) Chadbourne.  Left to carry on his memory are 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  He is also remembered by his children from a previous marriage: Mark Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Elizabeth DiSalva, and Bridget Bailey, with 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Jim’s greatest joy was his family. He loved watching his grandchildren compete in sports, shine in theatre performances, and celebrate life’s milestones—graduations, weddings, and accomplishments big and small. He enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle with his weekly club, and treasured every game played at family gatherings.

His family and friends will remember Jim for his steady presence, his unwavering love, and the pride he took in the achievements of those he held dear. His legacy lives on in the kindness he showed, the laughter he shared, and the example he set.

Services
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Peters Parish Center, 221 1st Capital Drive, St. Charles, MO 63301, on Saturday, December 13, 2025:

• 10:00 AM – Visitation

• 11:00 AM – Service

• 12:30 PM – Luncheon

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Five Acres Animal Shelter or the Alzheimer’s Association.
