James (Jim) Robert Thompson, 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Son of the late Howard Roosevelt Thompson and the late Leona Antoinette Thompson (Winston); Loving husband of the late Joan Marie Thompson (Cearlock); devoted father of Jeanne Lee (Randy) Ezell, Robert James Thompson, William Joseph (Barbie) Thompson; beloved grandfather of Tory Thompson, Brian Ezell, Katy Thompson, Brittany Thompson, and Bree Thompson; great-grandfather of Sadie Ezell and Sierra Ezell; brother to the late Howard Charles Thompson.

Jim worked at McDonnell Douglas as a sheet metal assembler and riveter (SMAR) for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing poker. His favorite pastime was sitting in his rocking chair watching TV, especially The Price is Right.
