Jamie Lee Lynk

Beloved Sister, Aunt, and Great Aunt, Jamie Lee Lynk, 75, of St. Louis MO., passed peacefully on June 21, 2021, surrounded by family.

Jamie spent much of her life developing friendships in Missouri, Iowa, Florida, Washington DC, and Germany. This inspired a lifelong love of wonderful experiences, speaking/teaching German, appreciator of various cuisines, and living by the ocean.

Jamie is survived by her brother Doug and sister-in-law Janece; nieces and nephews Nathan (Amy), Cristina (Dan), Ben, and Katelynn; great-nieces and nephews Danny, Dominic, Finley, Duke, Lily, Charlotte, Carter, and Wyatt. All of these she loved unconditionally and touched her deeply. She also loved her sweet dog, Pooky. She is predeceased by her parents, Doug and Mildred.

Her love of the ocean included walking the white sand beaches of Florida with her favorite time being spent on Sanibel Island. She loved sharing her life with her longtime friends Mary and Gale. She loved reading and listening to music with her favorites being, the Harry Potter series, Eric Clayton and Chris Cornell.

Jamie’s wishes were to have a small family gathering for her memorial service in Saint Louis and another celebration on Sanibel Island next summer.

A lifetime of love to others, Jamie’s courage, and compassion were beyond words. We feel deep grief, yet we celebrate her passing as she chose, in comfort and surrounded by love.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I did not know her long, but she made an impression on me with her optimistic attitude & ability to laugh in spite of challenges. I feel bad she did not get to return to FL to see her friends as she wanted, she must have had some good memories there. I’ll be praying for your family. Peace be with you…

Jamie and I met through a love of reading and a love for God. We belonged to the same church, St. Paul Lutheran in Sarasota, and became good friends. She moved back to her home some time ago, but we remained in touch. She was such a kind, giving, and loving person. I will miss her. Heaven has gained another angel!

Jamie because our friend in Florida. We met her through my mother in law June Manselle. We have such wonderful memories with her. We are all sad to hear of her passing. Please let us know when you will celebrate her life in Florida. We would be blessed to attend.

It was nice to first meet Jamie when she belonged to NOVACS (Northern Virginia Christian Singles), and my, cousin, June Manselle, introduced us. Our friendship continued over the years, and we saw each other when I visited Sarasota. Jamie was always smiling and happy, and she introduced me to Tarot cards and fortune telling. That was an interesting afternoon! My sympathy to the family as Jamie was a very special lady.
