Janet Marie Toth

Janet Marie Toth passed away peacefully at Ascension Living Lansdowne Place in St. Louis, MO on June 5, 2019 at the age of 80.

Janet is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald Ernest Toth of 58 years. They were married on May 17, 1958 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO.

Janet is lovingly remembered by her children, Karen, Timothy (Mary), James (Kapreece), Daniel (Donna) and Kathleen (Andrew) all of St. Louis, MO. Grandchildren are Jennifer (Kent), Brian, Rachel (Kyle), Alec, Kevin, Camille (Michael), Grant, Kurt, Kirsten and Jacqueline. Great grandchildren are Jordyn, Lucas, Camille and Conner. Also, dear niece, Robyn Theresa.

Janet was born in St. Louis, MO in 1938 to the late Marie and Charles Dott. She also had a dear sister JoAnn, now deceased. She graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School in 1956. After graduation, she worked as a secretary with U.S. Department of Defense Aeronautical and Information Chart Plant (now known as Defense Mapping Agency). After meeting the love of her life, she decided to become a housewife and mother for many years. She decided to return to work at Suburban Journals as a switchboard operator then to Equality Savings Bank as a typist.

Janet always enjoyed listening to 1970’s classic rock music, baking, crossword puzzles and sharing good times with family and friends.


A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church,

5020 Rhodes Ave. St. Louis, MO, 63109 on June 28, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Janet’s wish was to donate her body for science research. Her wish was granted in 2002 by St. Louis University School of Medicine through their “Gift of Body” program.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
