Janice “Jan” Marie Mueller (nee Burton) passed away peacefully at
Crystal Oaks Long Term Care Center in Crystal City, Missouri with her
two children by her side on July 19, 2022 at age 87.
Jan was born to the late Alvin and Evelyn Burton on July 18, 1935 in St.
Louis Missouri. She is survived by her children, daughter Terry (Robert)
Canman of Pevely, MO; son Ralph (Peg) Brandle of Stevensville, MI; five
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Darlene (Larry)
Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Mueller.
Jan was very passionate about hunting morel mushrooms in the spring.
Jan along with her children, other family members, and friends would
spend days in the woods until the short-lived season was over. She
loved dining at Uncle Bill’s Pancake House, watching ID on TV, and
visiting with family.
After her retirement she explored her creative side by dabbling in oil
painting, and various other crafts. Jan became an accomplished quilter
while living in Branson, Missouri.
The family sincerely thanks the staff of Crystal Oaks for Jan’s excellent
care over the past two years.

Interment will be at 11:00AM on August 12, 2022 at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Springfield MO.
