A celebration of Jay’s life for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.

Sincere sympathy to Diane and family. I got to know Jay when he worked at Affton High School. He came to work a hour early and came to the Library to read the paper. Jay was always in a happy mood. He was also a nearby neighbor. I would wave to him when he was cutting the grass, etc. in his backyard. I did not know he was ill and he was not one to share his problems. He was a very humble, sweet, man.
Diane, take comfort in knowing he was very proud of his family and you made his life very happy. God Bless the Heckenkamp Family.

Jay had a heart of gold.
He will live on in all the hearts who love him.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
