Jeremy Nicholas Boren
Jeremy Nicholas Boren left this life on March 18, 2021, at age 39, after a year-long battle with kidney cancer and surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Nicky Gene Boren, and his grandparents, Shirley and Jerry Statler and Maxine and Gerald Boren. He was the beloved husband of Katherine (nee Gerli) and father to two young boys, Max and Milo. He was also survived by his cherished mother, Vickie (nee Statler), step-father, Bill Ashby, brother, and best friend, Jeff, his wife, Jillian, and three nieces. Treasured grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.
Jeremy grew up in Oakville, MO, attending Oakville High School. He graduated from ITT Technical Institute and started his career at Charter in distribution, eventually finding his way to Rothkopf & Associates.
In his youth, you could find Jeremy playing hockey in his neighborhood, laying the foundation for his love affair with the St. Louis Blues. The memory of the Blues winning the Stanley Cup potentially rivaled seeing his wife walk down the aisle on their wedding day. Jeremy was also a talented artist, which he shared with Max. Jeremy also passed along to his boys his love of animals and aquatic life.
Most of all, Jeremy loved spending time with his family—being outside at Forest Park with his boys, going to concerts with Katie, working on a project with Bill, tinkering on a car with Jeff, and laughing with his mom over a meal.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the World’s Fair Pavilion at Forest Park, located at 1904 Concourse Dr., St. Louis, MO 63110. Covid-19 protocols will be followed and no food will be provided. Memorial contributions can be made to cancer research: Kidney Cancer Association and Hockey Fights Cancer.
Beautifully written…a testament to him and his wonderful family and support groups. He fought a good fight and but now is at peace being home with his heavenly father and those who have been waiting for him. God bless his sweet soul and his beloved family.
What an extraordinary young man who loved life and his family and friends. Thank you for the memories and being our guardian Angel.

Jeremy is now at peace and no more suffering. I remember a cute little boy coming to visit us when we moved to St. Louis. He grew up to be a wonderful young man. Loved by so many. A great son, brother, and father. He will be missed.
