Jill Jordan, 56, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1965 in St. Louis County, Missouri, the youngest daughter of Dale F. Jordan, Sr. and Frances D. Jordan.

Jill graduated from Lindbergh High School, Class of 1984. She attended college at Indiana University and graduated from the University of Missouri Saint Louis with a degree in Accounting. She went on to pursue additional technical education to become a Radiologic (X-ray) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technician.

She was a very caring professional who loved taking care of her patients, always understanding and empathetic to the challenges, fears, and frustrations of her patients.

Her engaging smile and infectious laugh immediately endeared her to family, friends, neighbors, and patients. She would light up a room upon entering with her booming, friendly voice and personality. The world needs more people like Jill Jordan.

Jill was active in all the churches she attended and frequently sang in the choir and played the piano and organ. She loved music and sang wherever she was– even at the dinner table– which would always get her in trouble. She had an uncanny ability to remember music and lyrics and what she may have forgotten she easily made up as she went along, encouraging bystanders, and even strangers, to join along.

Jill loved life and particularly loved being with family. She was dearly looking forward to “Cousin’s Weekend” at the lake over Labor Day. In addition to her parents, Jill is survived by her sisters Cheryl and Pam Jordan, brother Dale F. Jordan, Jr. (Buddy), nephew Dale F. Jordan, III (D3) and niece Rachel Jordan, as well as first cousins Mark Groves, Debbie Ferger, Bryan and Cathy Groves, Rob Townsend, Jeff and Belinda Jordan, Terri Ford, Stephanie and Carla Jordan, William (Bill) and Karen McDavid, Susan and Randy Douglas, Pat and Cindy Heifner, Mike and Donna Heifner, Christina Bogar, Lisa Bogar and Mark Cunnane, Louisa and David Nance and by Vivian and Josie the cats she loved.

She is also survived by her best friend Greg Farnsworth. They had a truly special relationship which spanned nearly 20 years and survived a thousand miles of distance.

Everyone who met Jill felt lucky to have known her. She had a compassionate soul and BIG, lively personality. She loved to laugh and play games. Jill had a competitive side which she brought to board and card games as well as cooking competitions which, inevitably, her brother would always win. But win or lose, she was always fun. Her presence and spirit brightened the lives of everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed. One of her favorite sayings was “Just One More Day!” We wish we had just one more day with Jill!

We are comforted by the knowledge that Jill’s deep love of God and faith in Christ has taken her to a much better place. As Jill’s father stated, “death of a loved one is deeply emotional. We know our time on this earth is limited but our time with the Lord is forever, the vastness of which is incomprehensible but provides us the comfort we need to move forward.”
