For 50 years I’ve called him my Uncle Jimmy. As a teenager I could always depend on him to be available when I’d done something stupid. Many times he was that phone call to give me a ride from somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be. For most of my adult life I considered him more of a friend. I will miss the phone calls that always began with “Hey Dawny it’s Uncle Jimmy”. We didn’t always agree and he always knew I would let him know when I didn’t agree (not that he enjoyed hearing it) but that never diminished the love I had for him.

There are two words that I feel in my heart describe Jimmy as I knew him which are LOYAL and KIND. He would literally give you the shirt off his back if he loved you. He was kind to his core.
Our family will forever have a void without his smile. I pray he is resting in the arms of Jesus for all of eternity.

I will love you forever Uncle Jimmy.
