Jimmy Holmes

Jimmy D. Holmes, 68, passed away on Sunday June 26, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, with his beloved wife by his side. Jim was born in Leachville, Arkansas on June 10, 1948 to the late Roland D. & Lois E. (Martin) Holmes.

Loving husband of Marilyn K. (Vorhies) Holmes for 48 years, beloved father of Melissa Northcutt, dear grandfather (Paw Paw) to Madyson Northcutt and Julie Northcutt, dear great grandfather (GG Paw) to Conner Mullins, dear brother to Donna (Bob) Cockrum, and Jerry (Peggy) Holmes; loving uncle and friend to many.

Jim enjoyed fishing & golfing with his family and friends, he loved helping others, & gave freely of his carpentry & building skills to those in need. He had a love for animals and volunteered his time to PALS animal shelter.

He worked for Maryland Heights Fire Dept in the early 70’s., and at St. Lukes Hospital for over a decade in the maintenance department. After retirement he enjoyed working part time as a school bus driver for the Wentzville School District.

Memorial Service held 5:00 p.m. Wednesday June 29, 2016 at St. Charles River Church, 810 Westwood Industrial Ct., St. Charles, MO 63304.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: PALS animal shelter in Troy, MO.

    I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. You and I worked together at Western Electric a lifetime ago when I worked for Norm Pilarski and you worked for Dennis.i pray that Jim is at peace.
