Jo Ann Wills
Jo Ann (Russell) Wills, 81 passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jo Ann was born in Norfolk, VA on August 11, 1935 to George Scott Russell and Gertrude Virginia (Smith) Russell.
Jo Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent many hours working on family history and genealogical research. She served for many years in the Orlando Temple alongside her husband, Robert. Before retirement, Jo Ann worked for the Federal Government. Jo Ann enjoyed painting, quilting, genealogical research, bird watching and traveling.
Jo Ann is survived by her son; Robert Eugene Wills, Jr. (Julie) and four grandchildren; Angelika Andrews Piel (Sam), Jennifer Dawn Wills, Katelyn Mary Wills and Harrison Scott Wills. She is predeceased by her husband; Robert Eugene Wills, Sr. a son; John Harry Wills, and her parents; George Scott Russell and Gertrude Virginia (Smith) Russell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Jo Ann Wills to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Burial will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
