Joan Arlene Walsh, (age 84) of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 11, 2025.

Beloved wife of John Walsh (d) married 64 years, loving mother of Debby Hoynacki (Paul), Kevin (Janet), Lisa, and David; loving grandmother of Michelle, Angela, Kate, Christopher, Skye; loving great grandmother to Jason, Jack, Phoebe, Simon; loving sister of Gerald Rakonick (d); sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

All will forever remember her love of family and friends, her kindness toward others, and her strong faith. Joan will be remembered for her Beanie Babies collection, love of Elvis, and always using lists to keep her family’s life organized. Joan donated her body to SLU Medical School (in honor of her granddaughter becoming a doctor).

Joan’s family plans a celebration of life on Sunday June 1, 2025. All are welcome to share food and drink with fond memories of the times we enjoyed with her.
