June 19th, 1937 – February 14th, 2023

Joan I. McDougal of Ballwin, MO passed away on 2/14/2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Randall McDougal.

Joan was born June 19,1937 in Blossburg, PA the daughter of Eric and Gerda (Wickman) Isaacson as one of four sisters.

Joan moved to Washington DC after graduation and was employed by the FBI as an administrative assistant. It was there that she met Randall her future husband.

Joan and Randall eventually settled in St.Louis, MO to raise their family. Joan was employed by State Farm Insurance where she began her career as an office administrator. Joan rose in the ranks to hold various executive titles and retired at the age of 65.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Bombaski and Faye Kuzneski. She is survived by her two sons, William Eric McDougal and William Kurt McDougal. Joan leaves her legacy with 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joan is also survived by her sister, Mertella Smith.

Joan displayed a hard work ethic, perseverance and high standard of excellence throughout her life.

A celebration of Joan is being planned for the summer.
