Joan M. (Broderick) Schneider

Joan M. (Broderick) Schneider passed peacefully on December 17, 2018 at the age of 80 years. She was a wonderful woman that was loved, is deeply missed and will always be cherished. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the simple things of life: spending time with family, playing board games, card games, swimming, and going out to eat. Her hobbies were reading, gardening, making jewelry, and knitting hats and scarves. She loved bacon and eggs, creamed spinach, getting good back scratches, and going to church.

Joan was a born again Christian who had very strong faith. She authored and had published a book of her personal testimonies of miracles and answered prayer. She was a missionary who traveled internationally delivering Bibles so people would have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and went to Israel with her daughters which gave her much joy.

She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur Philip Broderick and Mary Elizabeth (Muckerman) Broderick on August 31, 1938.

She is survived by two children, Dave Schneider (Debbie) and Cheri Schneider (Ken Blair); brothers and sisters, Anne Farrelly, John Broderick, Mary Beth Broderick, Paul Broderick (Kathy), and Mary Jane Goodale (Josh); grandchildren, Kenny Blair, Nick Berger and Abbie Schneider; and great grandchild, Jessiah Blair.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hank Schneider; partner, Marcus Berger; two beloved daughters, Laurie Lane and Marcia Berger; and brothers, Art and Frank Broderick.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Louis Cremation, located at 2135 Chouteau Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63103.

We pray that Joan’s family take great comfort in knowing Joan is in Heaven, reunited with her daughters and other family members. Joan was a wonderful person who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a faithful and committed member of our Messengers of Messiah ministry for many years. Joan was always sharing her faith and testimony with others. The Lord says, “Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into my rest.”
