Joanne Conlon (nee: Nero), age 79, of St. Louis MO , passed away on 9/19/26 from cancer, surrounded by family. She was born on 02/17/1947 in St. Louis, MO.

Joanne was an incredible friend to many — especially her “second family” at Hair Statement — a devoted Catholic, a fun-loving cousin to her extended family, an aunt, a mother-in-law, a sister-in-law, a godmother, a loving and appreciative sister, a devoted Nani to her 5 grandchildren and a generous mother.

Joanne was preceded in death by her mother Margaret (nee: Corso) and her father George F. Nero her stepfather John H. “Bud” Hertzog her brother John G. Nero and stepbrother Jack Hertzog, her brother-in-law Don Turner. She is survived by her son John Nero, her daughter Tricia (Max) Drury, her son Tom Conlon, her sister Cherie Turner (nee: Hertzog), her grandchildren Alessandra, Annabella and Zachary Nero, her grandchildren Camila and Max Drury.

Memorial will be held on 10/17/2026 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5130 Wilson Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 beginning at 10:00 am.

Visitation will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on 10/17/2026 beginning at 08:45 am.

Following mass, there will be a luncheon celebrating Joanne’s life from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm at Pietro’s, 3801 Watson Road, St. Louis, Mo, 63109.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children, APA, St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, and/ or Evelyn’s House.
