Owner and operator of O.T. Hodges and Big Ed’s Chili Mac Diners for over 35 years.
Preceded in death by parents, James and Sylvia Eirten and brother, Jimmy. Leaves beloved wife, Mary (King) Eirten; brother, Frank Eirten; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Bomarito; sons, Jacob, Peter and David Eirten; grandchildren, Austin and Dylan Bomarito, Simone, Felix, Sally , Andrew and Holly Eirten; friend to all.
Services: Memorial Celebration, Friday, March 2, 2018, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St Louis, MO 63103. Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 12:15 p.m.

I am so sorry for your loss of a great man. He has been a wonderful in Alex’s growing up years. His hard work ethic and kind soul has been a fabulous part of who Alex’s life and the man he is. When Alex and Jacob broke windows and John made them work in diner to pay it off, taught them pay/work off . Alex adored John, as well as all of the Hill’s. GREAT MAN
