John was Army 82nd Airborne, Freemason and Shriner. His passions include his love for dancing, flying his planes, his love for automobiles & his ability to fix anything thought impossible to fix.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Barham of Granite City; along with special friends Janet, Jennie and Chris.
A celebration of life will be announced when finalized.

We knew Phil and Bert (his wife Roberta) in Yellowstone National Park in the late 1970’s. Phil was the Camp Director at the Young Adult Conservation Corps (YACC) program in Yellowstone. He was responsible for directing many new programs associated with the YACC program in Yellowstone, supporting the National Park Service mission. We also visited Phil and Bert in Chickasha, OK after they transferred to a YACC program there (1980). Over the years we lost track of each other, but in March 2024 we were able to talk about the “old times”. Rest in peace my friend.
