John R. Bickel, passed away on January 30, 2017 at the age of 70. He was the beloved husband of Susie Curtin Bickel, father of Kate Kopriva (Chris Blanchard) and Jay (Evy) Bickel, grandfather of Kevin (Amanda) Kopriva, Mark (Rachele) Kopriva, Stephen Kopriva, Joseph Kopriva, Brendan Bickel, Ryan Kopriva and Brianna Bickel and dear brother of Mary Elizabeth Bickel (J. Terry Gates).

John retired from Thiel Tool and Engineering in 2002. He enjoyed playing tennis, fostering rescue dogs and taking his grandchildren to the zoo in his spare time.
