John Seifert
John Seifert , 63, passed away Sunday, December 18th 2016 while he was staying with family in St. Louis Missouri.
John was born June 30, 1953 in Miami Florida. He was the 3rd child of eight of Harry and Betty Seifert.
He graduated from Lafayette High school in St. Louis in 1971 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Univ of Missouri in Public Administration.
Spending most of his career in sales, anyone who knew John knew this was the perfect career for his outgoing and fun loving personality. After a successful career, John retired last December and moved to beautiful Jaco Costa Rica where he enjoyed the tropical weather, amazing scenery and wonderful residents.
John is best described by his friends as the “Gentle Giant”. Always there for his friends and family to lend a hand, an ear and his heart to help anyone in need. Known for his quick wit and incredible sense of humor, he will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
John is survived by his 5 brothers Hank, Steve, Bill, Gary and Keith and his two sisters Dianne and Karen. John was a favorite uncle to 11 nieces and nephews Eric, Korey, Alicia, Karen, Zack, Patrick, Dylan, Allison, Maddie, Kyle and Cole.
My sympathies to the Seifert family.
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR THE JOHN SEIFERT FAMILY. HE WAS A GREAT PERSON. WHEN HE CAME TO CARTER-WATERS, HE AND I ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT OUR BIRTHDAYS BEING ON THE SAME DATE AND HOW IT WAS STRANGE TO FIND SOMEONE BORN ON JUNE 30TH. WHEN HE WENT TO LUNCH WITH THE PURCHASING PEOPLE, HE ALWAYS MADE SURE I WAS BROUGHT LUNCH. REST IN PEACE JOHN.
So sad to hear this. My condolences and prayers are with the all of the Seifert family.
I am so sad for your loss. John was such a kind, giving person and always had something humorous to say. He touched my life as well as many lives in husbands family. This world has lost a very special man. Thoughts and prayers from Tom, Linda and Olivia. I love all of you.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Seifert family on the loss of your loved one.
I was sad to hear of John’s passing. I had the privilege to work with him when he was a rep for Greenstreak, Unitex and Noxcrete. He was a class act and bent over backwards to help out when needed.
I used to call him the “Old Man” since he was 1-1/2 months onlder than me.
RIP Buddy!
Nice tribute to a wonderful man. John will be missed here in Jaco. My condolences to the family.
Of all the guys from the old neighborhood who would use to visit our house, John Seifert was ALWAYS the most welcomed. Whether it was his respectful politeness or his gregariousness; John was never intrusive. Even though he would come to get with our oldest brother, John would seem to take some time to be interested in what his compadres’ younger brothers had to say. I will never forget his sincere demeanor and the pleasant warmth of his grin. I am positive that his persona has left this enduring impression on many, many other people’s lives who have had the good fortune of knowing him. And while I pray that the God of all comfort will fill John’s loved ones with His peace and solace, I also want to take this opportunity to reminisce on my fond memories of one genuinely good guy. He will be missed. God bless the memory of John Seifert. To all his family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We grew up together and John will live forever in my memories of our high school years. My condolences to the Seifert family.
