John was a beautiful person, kind, smart, soft-spoken, understanding and very easy to get along with. He was a solid rock. And he was the perfect counterpart to his wife Audrey who was very lively, outgoing, cheerful, a laugh-a-minute gal at times and the life of the party. John will be greatly missed.
Thank you Max. Your kind words are appreciated. He thought a lot of you and you and Joe.
Uncle John was a great man, a real man. He was gentle and kind yet firm and strong. He was a remarkable mentor to me and didn’t even know it, if I would have told him so he would have likely just brushed it off not being one to long for the spotlight! His love and kindness and gentle power will always be remembered in my heart.
God bless you Uncle John , Jim, Mary and Ann may we never forget the lessons that he shared!
I love you all.

So sorry for your loss and thinking of your family at this difficult time.
John was a great Schnucks teammate, executive and a great friend. He was a true grocer. I competed against him when he was at Kroger as their chief merchant. He later joined Schnucks as Vice President of sales. He was a great mentor for some of our young executives. I considered John a friend. My condolences to his family.
