Passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 12th, 2014.

Bill was born to the late Argie (nee Williams) and John Rolando on August 2nd, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria “Maki”, whom met while they were both working at the Admiral He leaves behind a daughter, Judy (Cliff) Richardson of St. Charles, MO and a son, John Rolando of Kansas City, MO, as well as 5 grandchildren, Sean, Jera, Jason & Justin Richardson of St. Charles, MO and Nicole Rolando of Tampa, FL. He was also a great grandfather, uncle of Dan Philips of Lafayette, LA, a brother-in-law Bill Philips (the late June) of Memphis, TN and a friend of many.

Bill was a proud veteran of the US Army where he was a paratrooper. He graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Bill spent his career working advertising with various companies in Missouri. Right out of college he worked with AB Chance in Centralia, MO and Excelsior Medical Clinic in Excelsior Springs. He later worked at Forest T. Jones Insurance in Kansas City. He greatly enjoyed baseball.

Interment services will be held at the Jefferson Barracks VA Cemetery, 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014.
