Johnnie Sence

Johnnie Sence, 79, of Creve Coeur, Mo., passed away peacefully at Barnes Hospital (comfort care) in St Louis, Mo., on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at 7:45am, after a long and well- fought battle with cancer.

Johnnie was born on April 16, 1945 in Neelyville, Missouri the son of John Adam Sence and Louiese Davis Sence.
He married Vicki Blackwell on June 27, 1970 in St. Louis.  Vicki, his beloved wife survives him. Their love and partnership were the cornerstone of his life.
Johnnie cherished family time deeply.

Johnnie served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war where he was a jet engine mechanic .
He is survived by his four sisters, Margaret Thomas of Reno, Nevada, Alberta Hardin ( Charles Darnell), Nyokia Brown, and Brenda Patterson all of Qulin, Mo.
He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws Andy Blackwell (Linda) of Mcleansboro, Ill.
Wade Blackwell(Missy)of Cottleville , Mo., Kathy Klink (Mike) of Crestwood, Mo. and Lorna Lloyd of Bedford , Ind.
And numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnnie was proceeded in death by his parents,  John Adam Sence  and Louiese Davis Sence, his sister Duggie Sence McKinney(Shon), his nephew, Donald Ray Thomas, his brother-in-law’s Bill Patterson, Willard Brown, Ronnie Lloyd and Dennis Blackwell; his father in law and mother in law Loyd and Wanda Blackwell .

Johnnie will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, brother- in law, uncle , and friend!
His legacy of love and determination will continue to inspire all who knew him!
He was one of a kind, with a contagious smile! He consistently put others’ needs before his own and was a very loving, generous, and hardworking man!

In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held. Johnnie wished to be cremated along with his beloved wife , Vicki, when she passes. Their ashes will be scattered together at Forest Park , where they spent many wonderful times and made cherished lasting memories!

    Please accept my sincere condolences on your great loss. Johnnie and I were schoolmates. I have many fond memories of our growing up together in Neelyville. Your family will be in my prayers.
