Joseph Steven Mauer, 68, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on December 21, 2023 from complications of dementia and Parkinson’s disease

Jose was born on July 21, 1955 to Joseph R. Mauer and Winifred V. Mauer (Williams) in Washington, Missouri.  He graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1973 and went on to work at Chevron and later at Elementis Specialties where he was a dedicated and hard-working employee.

Joe love to read, take long walks with his dog, and was the grill master at our family gatherings.  He was a kind, caring person who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Joe was pre-deceased by his father, Joe Sr.  He is survived by his mother, Win; his brothers, Jim and John Mauer; his nephews Tom Mauer and David Mauer (Kristin); and his niece, Melanie Deslodge (Andrew).
