On May 31, 2019, Joyce was surrounded by family as she went to the table that God has prepared for her with her family and friends that have gone before her.

The Otten family. My heart breaks at the loss of my good friend. I loved her and will miss her. She was a neat lady. We shared a lot of memories. who would have thought a meeting at the birth of our children, Steve and Donna would turn into a lasting friendship. May she rest in peace with her Gene.

Dear family, it saddens me to see that your mother has died. My family lived at 160 Eldorado Dr in Florissant. I think we all moved into our new homes at about the same time, 1956. I didnt realize until reading the obituary that Gene and Joyce were so young and just married. As a then 6 yr old, all the adults seemed so “old.” None of the moms worked outside the home at that time, so there was always something fun going on…..parties, Tupperware parties, baby showers, etc. We were close friends with Betty, Mo and your cousins too. A frequent event on mornings would be one of the moms going out for donuts, then going door to door to bring the moms as dressed over for donuts and coffee,,,,sometimes still in robes and slippers. Those were the days when life was not so hectic as today.
Although we’ve not been in touch for many years, I still have many fond memories of your folks, Aunt Betty, Uncle Mo and many other neighbors.
My parents were Don and Marilyn Reddan. You might remember my brother Mark. I seemed to be the oldest kid on the street and eventual babysitter for so many. We moved to the other side of Florissant in 1963.
Again, my sincere condolences to all of you.
