Judith Anne Taylor
Judith Anne Taylor (nee Wilson), of St. Louis, Mo., passed away June 4 at her home in the care of her loving husband.
Judy was born in Omaha, Neb., on May 18, 1946, to the late Mary Clare (Larsen) and Thomas Wilson, on the 4th birthday of her beloved big brother, the late Tommy Wilson. On April 19, 1975, she married the love of her life, Ronald Taylor, of Clarinda, Iowa. She enjoyed an early career in retail management before launching Taylor’d Communications, a public relations and association management agency she deftly ran as a sole practitioner until retiring in 2013. She was an active volunteer in her neighborhood, Lafayette Square, and elsewhere in the community. She enjoyed bicycling, traveling and reveling in the joy of her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her heartbroken husband, Ron, and daughters, Andrea Snowden of Maryland Heights, Mo., and Mary Birkel, of Mission, Kan., as well as their spouses, Jeffrey Snowden and Matthew Birkel, along with her five beloved grandsons, Eric and Jacob Snowden and Clayton, Maxwell and Dylan Birkel.. She is also survived by sister-in-law Mary Christe Wilson of Omaha, Neb., and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Tom, her brother Tommy, and other dear family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association of St. Louis, the Lafayette Park Conservancy or a charity of your choice.
Judy has donated her brain to the advancement of Parkinson’s Disease research and she will be cremated. A Catholic funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier (College) Church, preceded by a visitation beginning that morning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life luncheon will be held at SqWires Restaurant Annex in Lafayette Square.
Beautiful tribute! What a wonderful woman! Still praying for you Andrea and your family!
I cannot say I understand what you are going through, but please know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I saw your mom around and she truly loved being with her family. It is truly a blessing she was able to enjoy her wonderful grandchildren and see her daughters marry wonderful men.
What a well-lived life. Sending up prayers for comfort and peace for your entire family.
May God be with Judith and prayers to the Taylor family.
Judy always had a bright smile to this newcomer in the Square. Her bicycle rides around the park were an inspiration and sweet ways will always be remembered, rest well dear Judy.
Judy was one of the most creative, witty and downright funny people I have ever known. She could turn a phrase and make a joke about almost anything, a trait she shared with Ron. A dedicated businesswoman, devoted to family and friends. A life well-lived.
Mom-
I hope that Dad, Mary and I are able to do your legacy justice.
I’m doing my very best to honor you and we miss you so much!
We will continue to share stories with the 5 grandboys!
So very thankful that there are so many photos and memories!
Rest in peace!
My deepest sympathies to your family.
Judy has left behind what we all wish we could – a devoted spouse, loving family, and a community that remembers her vividly and misses her already. Will see all of you Tuesday, June 21 to celebrate Judy’s long life, so well-lived.
Wishing you much kindness in your grief.
god Judy and I want to extend our sincere condolences to you–Ron, Andrea, Mary and the entire family–on Judy’s passing. We fondly remember Judy from several get togethers we attended during the years gone by. God bless and best wishes for the future.
