Judith Greffet

Judith C. Greffet (nee Winkelmann), 67, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on June 11, 2026, surrounded by family. A devoted mother, and grandmother, Judy was happiest when surrounded by friends and loved ones. She was known for her warmth, sense of humor, and generosity of spirit.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, George Joseph Winkelmann, Agnes Patricia Winkelmann (nee Corkery), and brothers G. Michael Winkelmann and Thomas Winkelmann.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Adam) Puorro, John (Katherine) Greffet, Jr., and Nicholas (Lydia) Greffet, her seven grandchildren, William, Benjamin, Violet, Claire, Evelyn, Charlie, and Louise, siblings James, Patricia Ahrens, Mary Brennan, Gerard, and Christian, as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial mass in Judy’s honor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 11, 2026, at Epiphany of our Lord Church, 6956 Smiley Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139.

Judy’s family will hold a visitation at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. and asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations in her honor be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

    I was sad to learn of Judy’s death. She was an amazing lady who had a large heart for all things. Her primary passion and love was her family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Judy and I went to high school together, and then she became my cousin when she married your dad! She always had a gentleness about her; soft spoken and always smiling. Such a beautiful soul now rests in Jesus’ arms. My prayers are with all of you.

    I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. Judy and I were friends during high school at DuBourg and attended each other’s weddings. I still have the ceramic cookie jar she made as a wedding gift. My sincere condolences to your family.
