Judith Hurst
Judith Frances Hurst, 83 of Mascoutah, IL peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her daughter’s house in Columbia, IL. She was born on March 11, 1943 in Belleville to William and Catherine (Thien) Weier.
She worked at Empire Comfort Systems since she was 18 years old. She enjoyed making happy memories attending picnics, parades, beach vacations and spending quality time with her family. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The memories will be forever cherished and she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Hurst Quint and her son Eric S. Hurst (Christie). Her grandchildren Amanda, Chloe (Ryan) and Connor Hurst along with Brittany Wright (Tyler) and two great grandchildren, Lydian and Landon Wright. She has one remaining sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Bob Lobermeier.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur J. Hurst, her son-in-law Patrick W. Quint along with her siblings and their spouses Florence Roberg (Raymond), Ruth Groth (Hilmer), Dorothy Determan (Wilfred), William Weier (Sharon), Raymond Weier (Gloria) and Viola Weier.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with a Catholic mass being said at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow the mass at Eckert’s in Belleville.
Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Childhood Church or Heartland Hospice.

Letting go here on earth is so very difficult, but is made so much easier when you have beautiful memories to hold on to. Thinking of all the fun times spent together in each other’s yards and houses with moms who were so loving makes me smile and warms my heart. Even love thinking of the trouble we got into including climbing a few trees. Your mom was such a wonderful ‘second’ mom. I know she is missed. You and your families have my sympathy and should know you are kept in my heart and prayers at this time. With great love and many memories,
