Judith “Judi” Anne Wessler, 85, of Foristell, Missouri, peacefully passed away on October 27, 2024 at her home. Born on May 18, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts . She is preceded in death by her parents Anne Koch King and Nelson Dodge King and her great-grand daughter Selena Christina Garcia.
Judi left behind her only sibling, her dear sister, Nancy K, Jayne, brother-in-law Edward Randolph “Randy” Jayne II. Judi was the beloved mother of three children, Jon Nelson Mittler (LaChelle), Robert “Rob” Charles Mittler, (Michelle), and Nanette K Meagher (Jeffery, “Jeff”). She went by Granny to nine grand-children; Christine Garcia, Donna Perkins, Jessica Anne Newcomb (Andrew), Amanda Mittler, Jessica McDonald (Nathan), Jacob “Jake” Allen Meagher (Maggie), Joseph Mitttler, Cody Mittler and Brandon Mittler and nine great-grand Children.
Judi worked for the Board of Education in St. Charles, Missouri for many years. Our parents then bought HC Belding printing company where she ran the business and managed the book keeping until it was sold in 1997. She then went to work for Airmark, where she worked at Denali National Park, Alaska, for 10 years as a bookkeeper, after returning, she went to work for Home Depot as a Bookkeeper until her retirement in 2008 at the age of 69.
Our mother, as we affectionately called her, loved to cross stitch, sew, knit, crochet, and quilt. There isn’t a soul in our family or many friends who do not have something, hanging on the wall(s) that she had made, or have cozy afghans or quilted blankets. Also, in her free time she loved to read!
Judi was cremated as per her wish and documented in her book called; “WHAT MY FAMILY SHOULD KNOW”. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
