Julie was a mentor to many nurses over the years, sharing the wisdom and experience she had gained throughout her career.
Julie was married to her husband Dana for 43 years. They enjoyed the beautiful life they built together.
Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her two children, Kaitlin and Jared. She was the most incredible mother to them both. She was their biggest supporter, counselor, teacher, confidant, and friend. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her kids. She could always be counted on, no matter what the situation was. Julie was also a devoted and proud grandmother to her grandchildren Mia, Briggs, and Baylor. She was known for her hugs and snuggles and the joy and fun she brought to any occasion. She loved her grandbabies so much. They were her true pride and joy.
Her favorite moments were spent shopping for clothes and crafts, watching football, decorating for the holidays, traveling with her husband, entertaining her grandchildren, spending time with friends, and above all else she always found joy in connecting with her family. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Her generous spirit touched the lives of so many.

Julie was a wonderful nurse who took great care of me when I was in the hospital as a child. I’m a burn survivor, so I was in the hospital a lot during my childhood. I remember her always looking forward to seeing me. She used to do a lot of things with me when I was in the hospital. She will be missed so much! I love & will miss you so much! My condolences to here 2 kids, & the family. You’re in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
Dana,Kaitlin and Jared, Darrell and I send our deepest sympathies. Julie was a great nurse and a great friend. I always remember before you guys had kids…I was pregnant and sick…you took my Jenna and Ryan to the zoo so I could rest. Soooo kind. I also remember Julie at my house watching the cardinals when Ozzie hit that home run and Jack Buck said Go Crazy folks Go Crazy…we screamed so loud Jenna started crying. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. So very sorry for your loss. Carol and Darrell Zimmerman
