Julie Kay Turpin (nee Steinfeldt), age 69, passed peacefully on February 12, 2018 due to complications from pneumonia.

Born November 19^th, 1948 in Normal, IL one of three daughters of the late Harry August Steinfeldt and Lee Adel Jeffries, Julie resided near Champaign, IL most of her adult life and finally in Saint Louis, MO.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Hennigh and Jane Dickerson, her children, Steve (Tonya Raney), Kate (Laura Cabrera), Maggie (David Huelsing), and Roger, and her grandchildren, Levi, Hunter, Emily, and Natalie.

Julie loved gardening, DIY projects, cooking, reading, and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held March 3rd from 1 to 3 at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign, IL, 61820. She will be interred at Mt. Hope Mausoleum in Champaign, IL in a private ceremony.
