Karen loved gardening; she always had flowers and plants in her yard. She enjoyed watching all the birds visiting her bird feeders. Karen was creative; she did ceramics for many years and was an avid seamstress and knitter. As a knitter, she donated countless prayer shawls to the “Prayer Shawl” ministry at her church, Mid Rivers Christian Church.
Karen had a special relationship with her granddaughter, Meghan. Since Meghan was born, Karen always enjoyed spending time with her; they had many adventures together.
A visitation will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Mid Rivers Christian Church in St. Peters, Missouri, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Karen’s name may be made to the Alzheimers Association- Greater Missouri Chapter.
I remember Karen as a kind mom to my childhood friend Kelly . We would often visit her in the basement of their St Charles home in her ceramic room which I was fascinated with . May she Rest In Peace ????❤️.
Karen will be greatly missed at Mid Rivers Christian Church. Her smile would light up a room. Usually, the kitchen where she was always a volunteer. She loved children, too. She definitely is in heaven now and resting in the arms of Jesus. Love and prayers to the family as I know this is very difficult for them.
Thoughts and prayers for the family. She will be missed by those who knew her.
Karen will be greatly missed. She was always a joy at church and Bible study. Her smile could make your day! Deepest sympathy!
We are so grateful we had the opportunity to get acquainted with Karen during our brief time at MRCC. And, Paul, we are proud of how you cared for your wife during these declining days. We celebrate Karen’s new home….and new sharp memory… with her Savior.
Paul and dear family, I send you my heartfelt condolences on Karen’s passing. I am so glad Greg and I often became “pew partners” with you, Karen, and Denise these last many years at Mid Rivers. I like to think now that perhaps the prayer shawl I received several years ago, was made by Karen. May God comfort you in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead.
We knew Karen to be a kind, caring and loving woman of faith. Gary & I enjoyed getting to know Karen (and Paul) when we met as a small group. Thankful and blessed to have known her … we have no doubt angels were singing when she joined Jesus in Heaven on May 28th!
Our thoughts and prayers remain with you Paul and Denise. ✝ ???? ✝
I loved Karen, we had such great times working together in the church kitcken. I could always count on her help. She will be missed by all.
Thoughts and prayers to Karen’s family. She had such a sweet smile. So very sorry for the loss.
