Karen Petruska
Karen Petruska (Limberg) passed away on June 15, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was preceded in death by her parents John (Fred) and Rosemary Limberg and her husband Ronald Petruska. Loving mother and mother-in-law of James (Sue) Petruska, Lynette Petruska, and David (Christine) Petruska; dear grandmother of Brian and Adam Petruska; devoted sister of Jack Limberg, Marty Voss, Tim Limberg, Madonna Limberg, and the late Steve Limberg; beloved aunt, cousin, adopted grandmother, and friend to many. She prayed everyday for those she loved. She continues to do so.
Karen brought joy and beauty to others delivering flowers and plants to hospital gifts shops working for Walter Knoll Florist. She continues to give in death by donating her body to medical science.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Catherine Laboure, 9470 Sappington Road, St. Louis, MO 63128 on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon to immediately follow at Orlando’s, 4300 Hoffmeister Ave., St. Louis, MO 63125.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Feed My People, 171 Kingston Dr., St. Louis, MO 63125.
Awe, Lynette, I love this picture of your parents. I can see you in both of them and both of them in you. May your memories of your time together nourish and sustain you during this difficult time. You bravely walked with your mom on her final journey with grace providing compassion, comfort, and care. Please know that you are surrounded by love and peace. We are here for you.
