Kathy loved taking care of others; especially her children and grandchildren. She was the most giving person one could know. She loved to entertain and made sure that everyone that attended was well fed and taken care of. Kathy loved her golden retrievers and you would often
find them with her when she was planting her flowers or filling her bird feeders. She was very handy around the house and loved to watch HGTV, the Hallmark Channel, and Food Network to keep her skills sharp. Her family was her world and everyone who had the honor to know and love her, will truly miss her.

My dear sister……I think I’m the only sibling that ever made you lose your temper and resort to kicking my butt. I did deserve it. You were always kind to us. Many times giving me .50 to go buy a model airplane. The only time I recall you getting mad was when you and Penny would argue about who wore whose clothes. You were an awesome Mom and even better Grandmother. It was always fun to see anytime we dropped in some of your grandkids were there enjoying time with grandma. You were always willing to dog sit. You loved your animals for sure. Even that stupid Cairn terrier Tosh. Open the front door just a little and she was gone. Then you and Al spent the next few hours trying catch her. We will miss you more than you’ll ever know. I’ll cherish the “I love you” I heard you say as I hugged you for the last time.
Love Greg
My Dear Aunt Kathy… I have so many memories with her as a child… The one furthest back, (I can’t believe I remember this because I was so little)… but she used to babysit us occasionally when she had some apartment with Uncle Al. I don’t even think she had kids yet. I remember it was a very beautiful place… white stuff everywhere (carpet and furniture, velvet) And lots of expensive decorations (breakable for sure) I remember how she wore dresses and dress shoes… and she wore her hair UP, always or in some kind of teased doo… and eyeliner.. maybe even lashes.. not sure. But she was absolutely GORGEOUS. I was just in awe of her. Her smile was amazing and she had these smily eyes that just lit up the room. Then she had kids… and I watched her be the most amazing Mom. Her kids were definitely the most well-behaved out of ALL of us at that time. I too remember two terrier dogs… they would always tinkle when they got excited… she loved those dogs so much! I remember going to her house to visit. It was always immaculate. Like Martha Stewart lived there. LOL… She loved to bake! It always smelled like cookies. I have a memory of watching her put on her make up. She did it right in the living room – with a little mirror. I was amazed she could do it so fast and perfectly. Most of all though, I just remember how sweet she was and she never go mad… if she did, it was very rare. I always admired her temperament. I admired her patience, her organization, her parenting… the way she took care of Uncle Al… she did so much and she really was so generous. She always used to buy us jewelry of some kind for Christmas. It was always REAL gold or real pearls… I just remember how she went way overboard with presents… but that was just her. She had a huge heart, and I will always smile when I remember her… because she was happy and always smiling and laughing. She had a wonderful, blessed life. My heart breaks that I didn’t get to see her one more time. I loved her and will miss her so much.
Kathy has been my friend since 4th grade, in our teen years we did everything together. We were in each other’s wedding and would talk for hours sharing stories of our children and grandchildren. I could never compete with her kindness and generosity. She was like a sister to me and I will miss her dearly
Kathy was my sister Margie’s best friend. She was always so kind and interested in me and my other sisters and brothers. The last time I saw her she was in the process of moving, but she was also watching her grandkids and I for sure smelt cookies in her house. She will be missed by all. Prayers and condolences to her family. A wonderful life was lived.
Kathy was the most giving, loving person and all who knew her, were blessed! She loved taking care of her grandchildren and helping anyone who needed her! She took such wonderful care of Allan, I am forever thankful to her! I loved Kathy and I will miss her!
