Kathy Rose Parrent (née Vallery), 61, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on December 12, 2025.

Known as “the Kathinator,” born at Alton Memorial Hospital, Kathy was a wild redhead with a big personality and a sharp sense of humor. She especially enjoyed bowling and playing pool with her husband, George, and her best friend, Deanie Pitman, where laughter, inappropriate jokes, and love were always present.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Parrent; her parents, Elgee C. Vallery and Thelma M. Vallery (Null); and her siblings Terry E. Vallery (and Rana), Ronald E. Vallery, Glenda Gilliland, Michael Vallery, Paulette M. Fuller and Maryeta Vallery (infant).

Kathy is survived by her children, Travis B. Ruyle (Tanya), Jacob Parrent (Ryeonjung Song) and Eva Ferrario (and Benjamin); her grandchildren, Kyler Ruyle, Alexa Ruyle, Layla Ruyle, Carter Ruyle, Vincent Ferrario, and Giovanni Ferrario; and her siblings Barbara A. Crossman, Annette Kovac, and Donna K. Ratliff Aulds.

Kathy will be remembered for her fiery red hair that she always tried to hide, which equally matched her spirit, which was also impossible to hide. She loved her kids more than herself. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and a lifetime of unforgettable stories, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
