Keith Wiley

October 2, 1957 – May 23, 2022

Keith Robert Wiley, passed away at the age of 64 on May 23, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years Patty Ann (Gruettemeyer) Wiley. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert C. and Viginia (Vette) Wiley, sister Carol (Wiley) Piel, his son Jacob Daniel Wiley, nephew Troy Price and niece Karla Kalist.  

He was the greatest Dad to Robert Edward (Samantha – nee Kahrhoff) Wiley, Patrick Adam (Elena – nee Stamp) Wiley, Nathan Fredrick Wiley and Jessy Lee (Joseph) Hensley.  He was an involved Grandfather to M. Benjamin Hamilton (girlfriend Maddie), Jacob D. (girlfriend Gracilyn) Wiley, Skyeann M. Wiley, Aidan P. Wiley, Myra D. Wiley, Layla M. Wiley, Hudson A. Hensley, Ava L. Hensley, Coda R. Hensley, Willow R. Hensley and Step children to Patrick Wiley:  Erin Stamp and R. James Villasenor.

He was a beloved brother to Bonnie Schulte, Lorry Watson, Michael Wiley and Kelly Wiley-Baykowski.  Fun Loving brother-in-law to Linda (John) Schiermeyer, Mary (late Kevin) Kimbrell, Jo Ann (fiancée Richard Fillman) Biggs, Martin E. (Desiree’) Gruettemeyer II.  He was a godson, uncle, great uncle, great-great uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

In Keith’s young life he and his siblings spent many summers with their Grandparents in Puxico MO.  He had a great devotion to his Grandma Wiley.  Keith grew up in Jennings MO attended Fairview grade school and Jennings High School for time.

Keith was an accomplish mechanic and specialized in bulk mail and bindery machinery for his career.  He was well liked, trusted and relied upon by bosses and co-workers alike.  Keith held supervisory and head mechanic responsibilities.  Keith was also a truckdriver in his early working years.  Keith held positions at Donnelly Printing, Laflam Bindery, Wilks Direct Mail, DS Direct and Fiserv.

Keith was a hardworking devoted family man whom stood strong by his family through good and bad. Keith enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, he taught them to fish and took them hiking. Keith loved local fairs, airshows, monster truck shows and of course his beloved Rams.  Keith’s dream came to life when the LA Rams became the St. Louis Rams, unfortunately it was a brief affair.

Keith, with his son Nathan, learned Ti Quon Doe and he progressed to 3rd degree black belt, this achieved him title of kyo sah nim and allowed him to be an assistant instructor of the craft.

Keith had a variety of interests.  Keith was an avid reader especially of history and science fiction (he absolutely Loved Sigourney Weaver).  Many vacations were based on his passion of the Civil War, he was a collector of antiquities and reveled in a good flea market.  Keith spent time assembling model replicas of sailing ships one was the USS Constitution, he also assembled model cars.

Keith delighted in the old time Country music jandra of Johnny Cash, Patsi Cline and Merle Haggard, but good ole Rock-n-Roll held his interest too – Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and little Ike & Tina.  

One of Keith’s nieces summed him up to a tee: “I will remember Uncle Keith as a hardcore biker, loving uncle, loud talker, and very social individual who always had something to say to whoever he met with purpose and honesty”

Memorial services will be held in his honor on Friday June 10, 2022, 2 until 3 pm, at New Beginnings Lutheran Church (NBLC) at 791 New Beginnings Drive, Pacific MO 63069 with Luncheon to follow at the Church from 3 until 5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Angelman Syndrome on behalf of Karly’s Crew.  This foundation is very dear to the Wiley family and especially Keith as his great-great niece suffers from this disease and his great niece her mother is walk coordinator for the ASF Walk STL Danielle Stuart

    He was the love of my life. He was my heart. He gave me the family I always wanted. I will miss u everyday of my life. Safe me a place( but not to soon) . I will see u again someday. 💋 💋

    My deepest condolences to you Patty and your family!! He was a very integral part of our team for many years and a friend to me personally. He will truly be missed!!! RIP Keith.
