Kenneth “Ken” Hood
Kenneth “Ken” Hood, born on March 10, 1946, passed away on September 12, 2025 in St. Louis, Mo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Hood and his 6 children and step-children, Tiffany Hood, Eric Hood, Michael James, David James, Paul James and Tony James (Stephanie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Madison Shaffer, Mackenzie Shaffer, Nicholes James, Brianna James and Ethan James.
Ken proudly served his country in the Army from 1966 to 1972. Following his time in the military, he dedicated his time to what he loved; his family and cars.
Ken will be dearly missed by all that knew him, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
Ken will laid rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 930am. If you are planning to attend, please arrive about 9am so that everyone can process to the Committal Shelter together.

My husband and I knew Ken from our teen years at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Des Peres, Missouri. Dell and Ken were best friends during their high school years. When Ken entered the Army and my husband joined the Air Force, they lost track of each other. But through Facebook, we reunited several years ago. Ken would even call to check up on us if he heard that our part of Iowa had severe weather. We will miss hearing from him. May God bless his soul!
