Kenneth William Bartels

img227(2)Kenneth William Bartels passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the age of 66. Kenneth was born on June 8, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Herald and Marie Bartels.

Kenneth was the dear husband of JoAnn (nee Jordan) Bartels; the beloved brother of Glenn H. Bartels (Jennifer); the proud uncle of Jill Bartels Burstein, Rebecca Bartels and Casey Bartels; dear cousin of William (Susan) VanBuren and the late Betty Lou Burlbaw, Bobbie Stein (Dan), Carol Langer and Katiy Kelly; brother-in-law of Joe Jordan and Charlene Hedrick; son-in-law of the late Joseph and MaryLou Jordan; stepfather of Melinda Rhodes, Robert Thompson, Michael Thompson, Joseph Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson; step-grandfather of Lindzie Thompson, Christopher and Gabriel Thompson, and Autumn and Summer Thompson. He was a friend to many and a fellow security worker at the Missouri Botanical Garden Security Force.

A Memorial Celebration will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 3:30 pm (with a more formal service beginning at 4:30 pm) at Royale Orleans, 2801 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis MO 63125.
