Kevin O’Brien
August 27, 1951 – August 4, 2026
Kevin Michael O’Brien of Fenton, Missouri, passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 74.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda (Froneyberger) O’Brien; and his three daughters and their families: Jennifer (Javier, Cruz, and Colbie) Gonzalez, Kelly (Shane, Lilly, Audrey, Owen, and Noah) Cope, and Patti (Olivia and Levi).
He is also survived by his sisters, Becky O’Brien and Jamie Vedder, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who loved him dearly.
Kevin held a variety of positions at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company over his 30-year career. He was fortunate to enjoy an early retirement that allowed for more family time. Kevin’s family, especially his eight grandchildren, were his pride and joy. In his younger years, he was a true lover of the great outdoors, and his passions included hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. He was known to regularly walk the neighborhood with his beloved Labrador retrievers over the years. He was a natural helper who enjoyed tinkering with things and working on projects. He was a self-taught handyman, lending his skills to help others whenever he could. He will be greatly missed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin’s memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Kevin was my neighbor across the street growing up. He was always stop by and talk with my family if we were outside while he was walking his dog over the years. I was very shocked to here that he passed away. He will be missed very much by me and my family.
Worked with Kevin for many years and also spent time fishing with him. I enjoyed his company and had some great times fishing. We even spent some time carpooling together which led to some interesting stories. My thoughts and prayers to Linda and know his family will greatly miss him.
