Kristina Elizabeth Mitchell

Kristina Elizabeth Mitchell, 38, of Lake Saint Louis, MO was called to Heaven peacefully in the comforts of her home surrounded by loved ones on October 13, 2021 after a 4 year hard fought battle with cancer.

Kristina was born to Debbie (Clark) Johnson and Kenneth Lee on August 20, 1983 in St. Louis, MO. On that day her parents were both blessed with the greatest gift that life has to offer. Always and forever remaining one of the most cherished days of their lives. As a child, Kristina’s laugher, energy and joy for life taught them the meaning of pure love and happiness. Through life, Kristina was the best big sister to her brother, Kenneth Lee that any sibling could ask for. Protecting and mentoring him as if he were a child of her own. In June 2020, Kristina discovered the cherished little sister, Becky (Schulz) Schultz, that her and her brother always wanted, but never knew they had all along.

Kristina met her husband, Kyle during childhood in the summer of 1997. After years of building friendship and love for each other the two married on August 10, 2012 and went on to have three
beautiful children, Koen (9), Keaton (7) and Kirra (5). Kristina’s babies were her entire world and poured every ounce of herself into being the most incredible mother for them.

In addition, to being a dedicated and loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. Kristina was the heart and soul which held the strong bond between all her family members and lifelong friends. Kristina had a love for life, family and friends that is indescribable. Every place she graced was brighter and life she touched was left with a lasting impression. Her laugh was infectious, smile was contagious and a presence that was greater than perfection. Kristina was passionate about flowers, birds and all things nature. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and love she could be found out tending to her flowers or with her eyes in the sky watching her birds fly.

Kristina joins her many loved ones awaiting in Heaven. She is survived by her parents, siblings, husband and most of all her children.

The celebration of Kristina’s beautiful life will be held on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 at Cedar Lake Cellars in Wright City, MO from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.

Oh Tina, you were the strongest person I’ve ever met. You went through literal hell and never gave up! You still managed to be the best mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend with all you were dealing with. I will love you forever and can’t wait to see you again in Heaven when I get there. Hope my mom is snuggling you up until we get there. Praying for your family and friends! Love you so very much!

What beautiful words for a beautiful girl. Tina was one of the sweetest most amazing people I’ve ever met. I’ll never forget the countless hours we spent laughing and dancing for no reason at all prior to motherhood. She will forever be my LBJ and be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Kyle and those sweet kids. ????????

We were all made better knowing her and witnessing her story. What a fighter and inspiration to us all.
I will never forget meeting her for the first time at our softball tryouts when we were so young. It was a sweet memory I will cherish.
Prayers and thoughts to all of Kristina’s friends and family.
