LaKeta Stranger

LaKeta (Benson) Stranger of Fenton Mo. passed away Wednesday February 23, 2022 at the age of 67 surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Born September 3, 1954 in Cape Girardeau Mo, she was the daughter of the late Virgil C. and Billie A. (Phelps) Benson. She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip R. Benson. She is survived by four children: Melodie (Michael) Strange of High Ridge Mo., Michelle (George) Thompson of Arnold Mo., Phillip Stranger of Arnold Mo., and Monica Stranger of Fenton Mo. Cherished Grandmother to Twelve grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Torie, Lily, Peyton, Bentley, Hudson, Keagin, Jase, Sophia, Camila and Julian. A Great-grandmother to three: Jaxon, Gwen and Karsyn. She is survived by one sister Irene (Don) Kennebeck of Springfield Ill., as well as her significant other Alan Gardner of Fenton Mo.

Laketa was a natural loving person who always had an open door to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family and having all her children/Grandchildren together. She was an avid animal lover and always had a variety of pets. She enjoyed music and dancing and was a beautiful soul inside and out. She loved fiercely and unconditionally.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date and announced by family.
