Lauren Kristin Zacheis

Lauren Kristin Zacheis, of St. Charles, Missouri, born November 26, 1985 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, passed away on Friday June 11, 2021 at the age of 35 to join her Heavenly Father.

Lauren was born to her beloved mother Romona Jane Noto (nee Sanders) of St. Charles, MO., and the late Allen P. Carter. Lauren is the devoted sister of Lyndsie Zacheis of California, Joshua (Florina Matteucci) Zacheis of St. Louis, MO., Aaron Zacheis of Tennessee, Stephen Zacheis of North Dakota and Kaytlin Coffman (nee Zacheis), of Wentzville, MO, “special daughter” to Larry Noto of St. Charles, MO., treasured aunt to Jacob Wagner, Mathew Coffman and William Zacheis. Lauren is preceded in death by her cherished Mamaw, Sarah Jane Sanders (nee Dyer). Lauren is survived by her loved Papaw, Thomas Sanders Jr, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Due to Lauren’s loving nature, she always found the goodness in everyone she met. She loved her fur brothers, sisters and cousins and they in turn loved her. Born with challenges that were unique to her, for her entire 35 years, Lauren did all she could to have a life of normalcy and inclusion. What Lauren left us with was a better understanding of patience, tenacity and unconditional love.

Lauren was a veracious reader and talented artist who loved spending time with her family and visiting them in their residing states. In her “perfect world”, Lauren would have spent every day in the swimming pool, reading, drawing and continuously exploring her surroundings wherever they took her in her short time on this Earth.

Lauren will be remembered for her smile, her laughter and gentle nature. Lauren will forever be in our hearts.

My sincerest condolences to Romona and Larry and the entire Zacheis family. My heart breaks for you. Losing a child is so devastating. May God give you strength in the days that follow and the days of the rest of your lives. I did not know Lauren, but her mom spoke lovingly of her often. Sending prayers.
