Laverta J. Bonta

Laverta J. Bonta of Kirkwood, MO. passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 80.

Laverta was the loving daughter of the late Willie Alex and Parisea Zook (NEE: Latham); devoted mother of Lloyd (Ethel) Western and Anthony (Connie) Bramlett Sr.; cherished grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 8 and dear sister of Billy Zook, Chalvas Zook, Delphia Hougland, Dathol Barksdale, Linda Ivie and Brenda Watson. She was also preceded in death by four siblings Elvon Zook, Dewey Zook, Garry Zook and Carol Shemwell. Laverta was also a loving aunt, cousin and friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Laverta loved sewing and was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed working in her yard and had a love for roses and irises. Laverta enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the pentecostal faith.

    Love her very much! Will miss the long phone conversation we had, I could always make her laugh have lots of memories and picture of us growing up together. Rip my precious sister.

    I love my aunt Laverta and I have many memories that I will always cherish. Laverta was a very loving aunt and I will miss her so. She is happier now and I believe rejoicing with loved ones and with Jesus❤️
