Lena Macholtz was born November 28, 1915 and passed peacefully on January 19, 2017 surrounded by family. Lena was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Walter (Donna) and Marlene (David), 6 beloved grandchildren; Kathy (Stan), Patricia (Jim), Michael (Susan), Lisa (Bill), Lynette (Fred) and Lori (Jay); 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Lena was a homemaker, skilled quilter and loved to do needlepoint and crochet. Her true love was her family. She loved and adored every single one! We are so thankful and blessed to have had her for so many years and we know she had a huge smile on her face when she was reunited with all of her family that greeted her in heaven.

Per her wishes, Lena was cremated and the family will celebrate her life privately on January 29th and at a later date will intern her ashes alongside her husband Wally. Memorial contributions can be made in Lena’s honor to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF).
