Linda Laswell
Linda Laswell passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of sacrificial love, perseverance, and faith.
Born on August 18, 1956, Linda lived a life marked by devotion to her family and compassion for others. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister, and faithful friend.
Linda was preceded in life by many hardships, yet she met them with remarkable strength. As a single mother, she devoted herself to raising her son, Shane Laswell, and later helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her life reflected steadfast love and a willingness to carry burdens for those she loved. Linda gave her life to Jesus Christ and faithfully lived out that commitment through her love for Jesus and others, in her weekly involvement in church, and caring presence in Celebrate Recovery, where she encouraged people walking through some of life’s hardest battles.
Linda is survived by her son, Shane Laswell (Kristina) her father Jim Abbott; four granddaughters, Britnie Laswell, Nikki Timm (Nick), Mahranda Hummel (Ronny), and Lily Lemmons; one grandson, JD Lemmons; 9 great-grandchildren, Kylie, Aubrey, Konner, Kenzie, Makayla, Cole, Jacob, Ronald and Noah ; her brother, Greg Kettler (Susan); and many extended family members, church family, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Linda will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, her fierce love for her family, and the hope she found in Christ. Her life is a testimony that it is never too late for grace, never too late for purpose, and never too late for redemption.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the Bridge Church on May 1st, 2026 at 7:00PM.

My cousin was dedicated to her family and a bright spot in the lives of her parents, Laverne and Greg, our grandmother, uncles, son Shane, her brothers Greg and Steve, her cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am forever grateful for meeting Linda at Morningstar Church and cherish the times we sat outside after service just talking about everything and nothing. She is a wonderful lady and I know she’s looking down from Heaven and smiling upon her family and friends. May her memories bring much comfort to all who knew her.
Mawmaw will always be engraved into my mind. Some of my earliest memories of life have her in them 💖 anyone that knew her, knew her grandbabies were her entire world. She wasn’t my grandma by blood, but she will always be mine and so many others mawmaw. Sending all of my love to the family ❤️

Linda was the first born of us three kids. That training of nurturing the younger siblings seemed to be a lifelong mission of hers
that expanded to grandparents, her parents, her own child Shane, and her grandchildren. It was her purpose to help others.
She also had great spirit and beauty. She could capture your attention.
She told me just a few days before her passing that her life was a full one, that she was blessed
to have done many, many, things and she had many joys. I fully believe that to be true. A person that touches
so many is blessed and she will be missed by me and all those she did touch.
