Linda lived in the city of St. Louis before moving to Arnold Missouri and attended Fox Hill School there. She later worked as a secretary for many years. She later was employed with the State of Missouri in the Children’s Division of Family Services training department, where she was active in the SGMP organization. She loved being part of SGMP because it gave her the opportunity to travel across the country for meetings and make new friends. She served as President of the St. Louis Chapter from 1995 to 1999 and again in 2003 to 2005, and retired in 2006 after 22 plus years. She was also a Trustee President from 2011 to 2012 as a Retired member. Linda also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Euclid Chapter No. 425 and followed in her mother’s footsteps in becoming a Worthy Matron, which is the highest and honored position. Linda and Richard joined the Woodson Terrace Senior Group in 2013 and looked forward to monthly meetings. Linda enjoyed many activities besides traveling. She did crochet, played cards with her brother and sister in law (Robert and Rita Lefebvre), did jigsaw puzzles and loved the casinos as well as her reality shows on TV.
Linda spent her last years in nursing homes due to a stroke in early 2022. Linda will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.
A Memorial Service and lunch will be held at Miss Sheri’s Cafeteria 5406 Southfield Center in south St. Louis County on Friday February 14, followed by a short service at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
Note: This is a memorial not a funeral, dress casual, no flowers or charitable contributions needed. An RSVP would be helpful.
Having met through SGMP, Linda became a cherished friend. We attended multiple conferences throughout the United States, and both served on the board. She was a good leader – honest, patient, loyal…and a true friend. She laughed at all of my pitiful jokes, She will be missed by me and all who knew her.
