He was such a great father to lyla. Although I never met him I felt like I knew him thru lyla’s Facebook posts. Everyone should be so lucky. He reminded me of my own father. And I am truly upset for you and family.

My condolence to Lowell’s family and friends. My brother, Delmar Downen, worked with Lowell at Kirn Sign Company in St. Louis during the late 1950’s, and was impressed with Lowell’s talent and personality. I met Lowell at one of our union meetings (Local Union 774) and always enjoyed our conversations on a variety of subjects. Peace to all from another sign painter.

I am so sorry to hear of Lowell’s passing. Please know we are praying for you, Lyla, Kevin, Leddy, Judy and Family. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how bad it hurts. Lowell was a kind, caring, and gentle man. He had a depth of knowledge on just about any subject. You always left his presence more informed than when you came. Lowell always took an interest in others and was the first to offer an encouraging word or send a pertinent article, if he thought it would be helpful. Mostly I remember Lowell as a dedicated family man and a dear life long friend to My father in law, Ray. Lowell will be dearly messed. We love you and are asking God to comfort you. Mary and Family
