Lynn G. Sanders

Lynn G. Sanders, was born September 11, 1967, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to the late Ossie and the late Robert Frazier. Lynn was educated in the Riverview Gardens School District, and graduated high school in 1985. Early in Lynn’s life, she experienced the loss of her father. Years later, Ossie was remarried, to the late Charles Glasper, who became the father figure in Lynn’s life. To this union, her baby sister, the late Laronda Frazier, was born.

Lynn professed her love to Christ, at the age of 10, when she was baptized at Zion Springs Missionary Baptist Church, by her uncle, the late Pastor Leonard Ward. Lynn later joined the Northern Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Roosevelt Boyce. During this time, Lynn began to figure out that there were different skills, gifts, and callings, that began to develop in her life. She imprinted her mark in many lives of youths, as the director of the Northern Missionary Baptist Youth Choir. More importantly, Lynn was a mother to many of the youths that she worked with. She was affectionately known as “Momma Lynn”.

In 1989, on the Forest Park grounds, she met the love of her life, Arvin Sanders. After years of dating, the two decided to join in holy matrimony. On August 7, 1993, the two officially tied the knot. As the years passed, Lynn made a name for herself on the Saint Louis gospel circuit and earned the name of the city Alto. She did not have to be a member of your church, group, or organization, but if she was called upon, she would get the uniform and sing until heaven got the news. Lynn was an active member and the VP of the Michael Latchison Singing Ministry, and was an alumni and an honorary member of the Saint Louis Community Choir. Lynn worked extremely hard and was proud to sing with her church choir most of all at the Greater St. Paul MB Church under the leadership of her beloved Shepard Pastor T.D. Irving

Lynn fought a monstrous fight with her heart condition for 21 years, and was determined that it would not defeat her, but she would defeat it. On August 1, 2019, at 9:50 p.m., God whispered to Lynn, that it was time to come home. Accepting that her earthly work was complete, God dispatched his angels to Christian Hospital Northeast, and without hesitation, Lynn put her soul in the hands of the father and went home.

Lynn leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband Arvin D. Sanders Sr; four children, Elder Darren Frazier (Monet), Kayla T. Marie Harris (Ebony), Arvin D. Sanders Jr, and Aaralyn Brown; two sisters, Elder Kathy Joyner (Andrew), and Robin Hamlin (Reggie); a brother, Charles ‘Chuck’ Glasper (Beverly); four sister in-laws, Cheryl Brown, Angie Sanders, Helen Brown, and Keisha Miller (Mario); three brother in-laws, Lonnel Brown, Darrell Brown (Sheila), and Dana Brown; ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family, youth, choir members, and numerous others that will mourn her loss. Lynn was so much to so many that it would be impossible to list them all.
