Lynne Marie DiCarlo
Lynne Marie DiCarlo, age 62, of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully with her family at her side on July 25, 2019 after a nearly three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born February 24, 1957 to Harry and Jacqueline (Cooper) Yelton in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1975 and went on to study education at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, graduating in 1980. She married Nicholas Jack DiCarlo Jr in 1980 and returned to St. Louis where they raised four children, Angela (Kenneth) DiCarlo-Meacham, Nicholas DiCarlo III, Laura (Thomas) Pryce, and Andrew DiCarlo. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Harry Richard Yelton Jr and aunt Virginia “Ginny” (Cooper) Ouellet, aunt Martha (Yelton) Hanpeter, as well as by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. While she had many roles throughout her life, her favorites were mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending any time she could with her five grandchildren Ellie and Penelope Pryce and Connor, Charlotte, and Cole Meacham.
Even in her final years, she remained always optimistic and seized every opportunity to enjoy her life and her family, making several trips across the country and even overseas to explore the beauty of this world. In a final act of selflessness, she donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine, from where her daughter graduated medical school, so that even after death her life can provide knowledge to others. She was beloved by many and an inspiration to all who knew her in her final years for how she lived her life with faith and grace. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on August 2, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 567 St. Joseph Ln, Manchester, MO 63021 at 9:00 A.M. in the parish center followed by a memorial mass in the church at 10:00 A.M. There will be no burial due to the gift of her body to science.
