Paul Archer Mahr, 72, of Swansea, Illinois, passed away on October 11, 2017 after a yearlong battle with cancer
He was born in Canton, Illinois on November 8, 1944. Paul earned his plumbing license in 1967.
Paul enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his friends and family.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Avalon Mahr, and his brother David Leroy Mahr
He is survived by his partner Brenda DeVore; his children David (Catina) Mahr, Daniel (Naydeen) Mahr; and his stepchildren Terry DeVore Jr, Tarah Shields and Adam DeVore. Grandchildren Jeremy Mahr, Walker Snapp, Iris Snapp, Braxton Mahr, Calen Mahr, Cayden Mahr, Aeryn Mahr, Jadyn DeVore, Elijah DeVore, Bentley DeVore and Karson Shields. His siblings Carolyn (Larry) Johnson, Robert (Janie) Mahr, Marilyn (Jack) Groves, Jarilyn (Robert) Tuttle, Darilyn (Jim) Waterson and Sharilyn (Robert) Cook. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was cremated as per his wishes. There will be a celebration of Paul’s life in Swansea, Illinois on a date to be determined. There will also be a graveside service in Biggsville, Illinois in November. Dates will be communicated as they are set.

Paul was a wonderful and caring man, and we will all miss him. He was the best “PaPa”, that Jeremy could have ever had. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family and freinds.
